Takoradi Flour Mill Ltd (TFM) Introduces Graduate Trainee Programme for Young University Engineering Graduates
This hands-on trainee programme is a platform intended to coach and adequately prepare young talents with equal opportunities for their development and advancement in the company and the global competitive work environment.
This initiative is part of efforts by TFM to find young engineering graduates with the required skills that meet the company’s expectation and upskill such talents and potential for the benefit of the youth in Ghana.
Talent Pool
The first assessment attracted over 55 applicants who were recommended by the head of department of the various engineering faculties. The applicants were taken through a series of assessments and evaluations after which the top 15 successful graduates were selected for one year intensive practical tailor-made training programme.
Unlocking the Potentials of Young Engineering Graduates
The successful graduates will be taken through practical, in-house and external training programs and exercises to enable them exhibit their technical skills and behavioral competencies. They will also be coached to apply best practices in their line of work.
The graduates will work on individual projects as well as in group exercises that will allow them to practically apply their academic knowledge to real life situations.
Expectation after the 1 Year In-house training Programme:
- Confident and Problem-Solving oriented person.
- Technically Upskilled individual with the right work attitude.
- Fit for the TFM work environment.
- Potential to lead in the future.
The graduate trainee programme will be repeated at periodic intervals to ensure a pool of talents and skills are groomed for the future.
